Subject: Drug Trial AZD 2171
My brother in law here in the UK has been told about a new drug trial AZD 2171. He was diagnosed with GIST in the winter of 2003 tried Gleevec for two years and then in Feb 2006 went on to Sutent. Is AZD 2171 at present in use in America if so is there anybody on this forum who knows about it and can let me know of its sucess?
Response: As far as I know it is ONLY in trial in the UK. Here is our page on this drug. This has everything I know... http://www.gistsupport.org/treatments/emerging-treatments/inhibitors-of-kit-pdgfr-or-vegf/azd2171.php
