Chills
Chills describe when you shiver and shake, often without a fever and covered with blankets. They are a result of involuntary contractions of the voluntary muscles, accompanied by a sense of cold and pallor of the skin; called also ague.
"Gleevec inhbiits PDGF receptor. PDGF receptor has a signaling role for the cells that make the connective wall of blood vessels. Gleevec likely leads to reduced blood pressure in the periphery. I remember that my hands and feet turned purple about an hour after my dosing, and I went to bed with my teeth chattering...I ended up wearing layers and layers of polartec socks, shirts, and silk long underwear. The 'cold' side effect lasted about three months for me, and then went away entirely."
