Dr. Gina D'Amato (formerly at Moffitt) is now seeing patients at Emory Winship Cancer Institute. Her office number for scheduling appointments is 404-778-1900.
All I had to do was contact her, and she had her people right on it ! She is scheduling 1 hour appointments. From what I was told , this is the standard appointment with her. Not the typical 15 minutes I get from My local Doctors -- with their hand on the doorknob for half of the visit.
I see Dr. Kauh at Winship at Emory. I was told Dr. Kauh has been involved in studying GIST for about three years. I am not aware of anyone else who would be considered an expert here. Dr. Charles Staley, at Emory, did my last surgery and he has told me he removes GIST tumors frequently.
