DIRECTIONS:
Office is about 8 miles from Atlanta Airport. Take I-85 north from the airport, which joins I-75 in the city. Get off at exit 249-D. Stay in the middle lane. Go past the hospital and make a right turn onto Peachtree. There is a right turn into the parking lot just past the hospital building. The hospital is on the right, the parking deck straight on and the Winship Cancer Center is to the left of the parking garage on the first floor.
Dr. D'Amato has announced that she is leaving Wiship on January 22, 2010 to pursue her career with a medical company, at least for now.
The Emory scheduler called regarding an appointment with Dr.D'Amato and suggested Sujatha Murali,MD. Dr.Murali is one of those suggested by Dr.D'Amato.She has done a fellowship at Emory and has special interest in GIST.
I see Dr. Kauh at Winship at Emory. I was told Dr. Kauh has been involved in studying GIST for about three years. I am not aware of anyone else who would be considered an expert here. Dr. Charles Staley, at Emory, did my last surgery and he has told me he removes GIST tumors frequently.
Dr. Kauh sees patients with GI cancers at our Emory University campus location. The Sarcoma clinic is held at our midtown location - known as Emory Crawford Long Hospital. More about locations and directions to both can be found on the Emory Winship Cancer Institute website at http://cancer.emory.edu.
