Subject: Marvin first full week on SUTENT
Well we had our first week of Sutent and don"t seem to be having any side effect yet. Next week he goes on Gleevce along with the Sutent then we will see what kind of effects that will have on him. Has anyone else known anyone that has been on a similar trial or anyone that is maybe on this trial? It makes me kinda scared to be taking both of these drugs at the same time but so far so good. We just keep on praying and have faith in GOD that it will all be alright. I am so grateful that I found this site when Marvin disease has progressed again I just want to say a great big Thanks for all the support that you all have given to me. SHEILA

Hi. Marvin starting to have really bad fatigue and he has no taste anymore. So much for not having any side effects from Sutent yet it like they hit him all thee same day.He goes to work and then comes home then he goes right to sleep.I knew this would happen again but he has not even started taking the Gleevce yet maybe they will not get much worse.Thanks just wanted to chat a bit. My husband Marvin is in the trial at Vanderbilt. He is on his 2 week of 25 mg of sutent and on Friday he will start taking gleevce along with the sutent. We go up there every week so if I can help please let me know. Sheila

Well we got back from Nashville on Friday and Marvin had lost 5 lbs and his white blood counts were lower than they were the last time we were there.Butthey put him on the gleevce with sutent anyway so now he is taking both of them now but at least he does not seem to be having any worse side effect yet.It has only been 4 days so it is a bit early it really makes me scared but I know he has to do it because there is not anything much left for us to do.He is so strong he never complains or says why me he just says we have to put it all in GODS HAND NOW.So that is what I am trying to do now having as much faith as he does and not being scared. Subject: Vanderbilt Trial
Hi everyone Well we are back again and everything seems to be going just fine. Marvin blood work is getting a little better every week, he only lost 3 lbs and he still feels good. Dr. Chan is really optimistic and so are we. We knew if we put it all in our God hands he would see us through and he did He gets all the Glory. GOD Bless you all Sheila

Hi everyone, well we are half way through the trial now and Marvin still seems to be doing alright. He is having a few side effects but not any bad. Life is so crazy for us now but we keep saying that it will slow down one day but then I do not know what we would do then.Anyway my hopes and prayers are with each of you every day. Sheila
