It is possible to link directly to articles found in the PubMed database by using the PMID. The PMID is a unique number assigned to every article in the PubMed database, which includes most medical journals. If you don't know the PMID of the article, you can search for the article in the PubMed database and the PMID will be shown along with a link to the article abstract.
To link to a PubMed article, type in the following text (without any brackets): PMID 14713653
This results in PMID 14713653
Unlike other external links you do not need to enter brackets around the link. It is not possible to use a piped link.
