I am organizing a meeting in Houston on Saturday 26th July and wonder if any of you would like to come along to meet other GISTers to share experiences and enjoy common fellowship? If you saw this notice before, please note the change in timings!
This meeting is a social occasion organized by myself and will have *no charge nor fund raising* associated with it. We meeting beforehand at a restaurant for lunch (own restaurant bill paid by yourself), and then will walk over to a meeting room nearby for further discussions from 3 pm until 7pm. You are welcome to come for all or any part of the afternoon.
I am hoping that Dr Jonathon Trent from MDA will be able to come to the meeting. He has said he would like to but is not able to confirm yet.
Marina Symcox has promised to come, in spite of her shingles, and I know a great many folks would love to meet her in person as she has given so many of us so much help and advice.
I would also like any from LRG to come if they'd like (have you any idea how to invite them?), and am going to ask at MDA when I am there next week if they would let any GISTers around know, too. I am also going to ask Dr T if he would come ... but have no idea if that is at all likely. So if you know of anyone I could invite in person, let me know, and also if you can invite anyone, please do!
So far, all I have planned is to have lunch and meet up, but any other ideas are more than welcome!
